Jennifer grew up in country Victoria before moving to Melbourne and working as a pet minder, occupational therapist, mother and archaeologist, all of which provided occasional inspiration for her writing. Her fiction includes an adult novel manuscript, short stories, poetry, board books and picture books.





Writing Awards

Jennifer published four board books (I’ve Been Good, I’ve Been Brave, I’ve Been Tidy, I’ve Been Kind) with Lake Press in 2015. These books are published in Poland, Greece, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, China and the USA and are now on the shelves in Australia. She has also had her work broadcast on Radio National, published online and in academic and literary journals. 

In 2018 Jennifer was awarded a Neilma Sydney literary travel grant and was runner-up in the Local section of the Alan Marshal Short Story Prize

In 2017 Jennifer won the Tasmanian Writer's Prize for her short fiction The Reverend , and was also awardedWrICE fellowship to travel to the Philippines.

In 2016 Jennifer was selected for the 2016 HARDCOPY program (Rounds 1 and 2)
